Between the two Godfather films, Francis Ford Coppola managed to make yet another well-received film amongst the critics and audience. The Conversation is the story of a man specialized in surveillance, played by Gene Hackman. He

suffers from memories of a terrible incident connected to his job years earlier, and is getting very close to a similar incident when he is hired by some businessmen. Coppola’s film is a bit forgotten and ...

      • really has a lot of quality to it, just as so many other american films of the 1970s. Gene Hackman is excellent as the surveillance expert, but also worth mentioning is John Cazale in a big
role, a legend in Hollywood afterwards as he only completed a few films during his short career before he died from cancer. The other ones were The Godfather part I and II, Dog Day Afternoon and The Deer Hunter.
