      TRUSTWORTHY

The Foresaken is one of the many horror movies that were rushed into production following the success of Scream. The makers grabbed a handful of attractive actors, and slapped together a movie without giving it a lot of though.

On the surface this is a typical teen vampire movie, or at least a vampire movie

meant for teens. A random man is driving a car across the country when he picks up a strange hitchhiker. He then learns that his hitcher is actually a vampire hunter, and the two of them are forced to confront a group of rogue vampires.

The movie makes sense, but that doesn’t mean a whole ...

      • lot. The actors playing the vampires seem to sleepwalk their way through the whole movie, not really caring if they act well as long as they look good. There is also a subplot revolving a girl about to be turned into a vampire that I could have lived without. It doesn’t add anything to the
movie, it’s just filler to make it a little longer.

There are a few “good” scenes in the movie, such as when our two main characters sit around discussing how bad their generation has things. Instead of Woodstock, we had The Blair Witch Project, etc.

Unless you really like vampire movies though, I’d give this one a pass.
