This is one of the best books I ever read by the bestselling author James Patterson. It is the story of Max, a genetically modified girl who escapes from a clandestine laboratory in the wilderness of Colorado. She is then discovered and cared by Frannie O’Neill, the local vet in Boulder. Created from the laboratory, Max is half human & half beast.

      Her escape from the

laboratory puts her life and that of Frannie in great danger. Later, they are joined by Kit Harrison, a cop investigating on strange events occurred locally. Together, the three of them will live a number of dangerous adventures, chased by the laboratory agents trying to get Max back.

      • Colorado with the danger looming from behind. James Patterson writes in such a way, that you can visualize yourself on the silent and cold mountains there. The book is also interesting by exploring the possibilities of human cloning and is a bit frightful when you consider the existence of clandestine laboratories to be a fact.

The book is full of suspense and excitement to such an

extent that it is difficult to put it down once you started it. James Patterson keeps the chapters quite short and this makes the book a real page turner. He uses the first and third person throughout the book and therefore you get the opportunity to read the story from different angles.

If you are fond of action, thriller, adventure, fantasy and science fiction, this is a book for you.
