Milford State Park is located in Northeast Kansas near Junction City, Kansas. This park has five campgrounds, and an Equestrian Campground. For those of you with RV’s there are over 50 full hookup campsites, and close to 100 sites with electric and water. If you are into tent camping there are also several primitive campsites. The campgrounds have restrooms (take your own Toilet paper) and showers. While the bathrooms are clean they have been known to run out

of T.P. We also saw a couple of cabins but have never rented them so I really don’t know too much about them.

Milford State Park surrounds Milford Reservoir, which is Kansas’s largest lake, and if you like water sports this is a great place to come. There is a full service marina and several boat ramps. If you need a boat they have rentals. The fishing is great and there are several docks to cast a line from.

      • We have caught Walleye, Crappie, White Bass and Catfish from a small rented boat with a trolling motor but be sure and get a out of state license if you don’t live in Kansas. They have fish cleaning stations, which is good because we usually cook what we catch for dinner.

I love coming here and just watching the activity. There are hiking trails but the hiker’s have to share them with the mountain biker’s and the horseback riders.

People who enjoy the water can ski, Jet Ski, swim, boat and fish.

The Milford Wildlife area has a abundance of wildlife that we have spotted over the years, quail, pheasant, prairie chickens, ducks, geese, rabbit, turkey, deer and squirrel are just some of the animals we have seen.

The staff at this State Park is friendly, they do a good job of keeping the campgrounds, bathroom and showers clean. We highly recommend Milford State Park to anybody who loves to camp.
