Bangkok is a city with many great hotels ,every time I visit Bangkok, I am presented with so many great hotels that is difficult to decide where to stay ( Pls read my other reviews)

Bangkok Palace Hotel was one I used to visit when I was not familiar with the city. It cost about USD 50 for this hotel. Hotel was right next to a major highway but is OK for me as I was given a room not facing

the highway. “I’ve requested for a non-smoking room as I’m allergic to smoke but they put us in a smoking room. Not sure if that’s because they ran out of rooms or they simply misunderstood us. It is heard for us to make out their Thai accent English

Rooms are of decent size and relatively clean. But the lightings are rather dim.

There are two bottles of free drinking water that is a standard of most Bangkok Hotels. No safety box ...

      • in the room, need to go to the reception to open a safety box. It makes it very trouble for travelers like myself

Roads leading to the hotel is pretty dark.for tourist not familiar to Bangkok. The nearest Sky train is 15 minutes walk away. The hotel is very close to the Pratunam wholesale market, but is in the jam area. When taxis heard that U are going to this hotel, they are not willing to take us as passengers.

        When taking taxi to

the Airport after check out is also bad problem as hotel is not on main road. Staff at Hotel tries their best to be helpful but are not familiar with English. Thus asking for simple things like a adaptor to charge my handphone becomes a big headache.

There are also not many nice restaurants around hotel

This is not a bad hotel, but because Bangkok is littered with hotels, Consumer is spoiled for choice in Bangkok . I will mostly likely not go for this hotel again
