In reviewing the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Springfield, PA. Springfield, PA is located just outside of Philadelphia and is well known for their St.

      Patrick’s Day Parade.

This Parade is always on the Saturday Before St.

      Patrick’s Day.

This year the Parade was on March 15th and was rather unorganized.

The Parade route was very short starting

at Springfield High School traveling down a side street to Springfield Road and then to Saxer Ave and ending on Saxer at the Wawa and Sunoco but for such a short route it was a seemingly endless March stopping every 10 steps for about 5-15 minutes.

As a Marcher in the parade giving out candy every time we ...

      • would stop kids would run into the street and take candy from our float by the time we finally reached the bulk of the parade on Saxer Ave we were out of Candy.

It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining it was warm and a perfect day to be outside.

        The other processors were great.

we had children walking in the parade and they had them walking behind a car and the fumes started to bother the kids so they had to drop out of the parade.

I understand it is probably difficult to organize such a large event that thousands of people show up for but a little more organization would have been better.
