The Shaggy Dog, directed by Brian Robbins is Rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America, and stars Tim Allen as Dave Douglas aka The Shaggy Dog and Robert Downey Jr as Dr. Kozak…the main characters.

Dave, your typical working class man is bitten by a dog carrying a particular mutated gene. This gene when

entered into the bloodstream will change its host into a certain breed of dog or characteristics of a dog.

With his new found dilemna, Dave must use his smarts to find an antidote to reverse the process before he turns into a dog permanently; sorry, did I mention that before he could change from dog back ...

      • to human form when he is at rest?? If, I didn’t…here it is.

With desires to take over the science laboratory where he works, Dr. Kozak does away with the previous owner and takes matters in his own hands with this new developing gene.

With the help of family and doglike friends, Dave takes us on an

adventure as seen through the eyes of a dog.

A very entertaining movie that does not exhaust the genre of neither comedy or fantasy, it mildly captures both and serves them with expert precision…not too bland nor too spicy if you get my meaning.

This is definitely a movie for the entire family…great plot, even greater moral. Enjoy!
