I admit that I only watched this movie because the second one will soon be on the big screen. I only watched it in case that “Step Up 2 The Streets” makes some kind of reference to the first original movie.

I really like Channing Tatum acting skills in this film, although it must be also said that there is also room for more improvement. I liked a particular scene when a friend of Taylor dies.

It is also interesting to see how Taylor deals with this and how it affects him deeply.

“Step Up” has got great dancing and music. This movie is rated PG 13 due to thematic elements, brief violence and innuendo. The director of this movie is Anne Fletcher, the same director of up coming and much talked about movie “27 Dresses”.
