The King Of Queens is yet another of my favorite TV shows.

Dough and Carrie Heffernan are a working couple with no kids. They live in Queens, New York.

Doug is a courier for IPS, while Carrie works as a secretary for a large Law Firm.

Carrie is very driven, she aspires to being a Lawyer, although she never went to colege, so any other climb up the corporate ladder she can make is

a job on her list to get done.

At the expnse and humiliation of her husband, she drags him to company picnics, trying to impress her bosses with fandangled lies of past achievement. She is a liar and very two faced, and treats her husband cruely in order to progress in her career.

Doug on the other hand, is hapy to eat junk food, go to movies and hang out in his garage with buddies eating chips and drinking beer while the football is on.

He would do anything for Carrie, but she doesn’t like hsi friends being at the house so much, as she thinks she is better than they are.

Arthur is another character from the show. He is Carrie’s Father, an older gentleman who lives in their basement. He is widowed and cannot care for himself, and the shenannigans he gets up to are quite ...

      comical.

Much to Doug’s horror, he had to move into their home after he was widowed and set his home on fire while trying to cook supper. Doug had always used the basement as his own space to get together with friends and play poker.

Arthur has caused many a problem for them, and a few times he was almost sent to an aged care home. This never happens and Arthur ends up back at

      home back inthe basement.

This is an hilarious show, I always get a laugh at the goings on Doug and Carrie get up to when trying to find new friends.

They hang out with Doug’s buddy Deakin, and Carrie’s friend, his wife. At times , Deakin and Kellie make new friends and Carrie gets very jealous.

Overall this is the best show on TV for this time period.

I still love the Waltons more, but of course times and tastes change.
