Six years out of High school, and you’re living alone in your parents basement. Life is good. No responsibilities, your mom does all your laundry, and the only thing your Dad asks of you is to mow the lawn every now and then.

Is this really how you envisioned your life running its course?

I certainly didn’t, which is why I decided to enroll myself at SUNY oswego, in the lovely port city of Oswego NY. So whats so great

      about oswego?

It certainly isn’t the parking situations. Parking at SUNY oswego is almost as challenging as having to swim a tank full of roving sharks, as the majority of parking spaces are designated as staff only. The problem being the student body of SUNY Oswego vastly outnumbers the teaching base, which causes huge amounts of overflow from student designated parking areas. • spots.

Has the school addressed this problem in a mature, responsible fashion, or have they ignored it under the pretense of the lucrative amount of money writing parking tickets incurs? I think we know the answer to that one.

So you’ve found a spot to park in 10 minutes from campus. Now you must brave the elements, the most fearsome being the winds that blow off adjacent lake Ontario. The Gusts have been known to bring people to their knee, and

the blowing wind can often bring the wind chill down into the negatives.

So you’re asking yourself, “SUNY Oswego can’t be all that bad right?” Well yes, the classes I have taken thus far have been mostly exceptional, only thanks to the dedicated teaching staff of the creative writing department. If you ever get the chance, take some classes wit hAmy Shore, or Bennet Schaber. They will open your eyes on just how to view a movie.
