  • For visitors it is a full day and I believe they offer a 2nd day special to folks only buying a day pass, if you are going to be in the area, I'd recommend taking them up on the offer if you want to see everything at Silver Dollar City
  • Each festival runs about a month and they are each unique and wonderful to experience
  • One negative issue I have is the price increases each year
  • Another bad thing about the park is that it is hilly very hilly, people that have a hard time walking distances really need to bring a wheel chair and the little kids definitely need a stroller

Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO has been Branson’s number one attraction for years. This is a amusement park with a twist. Silver Dollar City has over 100 craftsmen demonstrating their crafts and skills. Among my favorites are the jewelry maker, the pottery maker, the blown glass artist and the candle making. Each demonstration is amazing and educational. There are also 30 rides and attractions, something for every age group.

An adult ticket is about $50, a child is about $40 for the day. While it seems high all the shows, rides and demonstrations are included in the price. Most people in the Ozarks who frequent Silver Dollar

City buy a season pass and if you go more than twice it is well worth the price of $70 for adult and $60 for children. For visitors it is a full day and I believe they offer a 2nd day special to folks only buying a day pass, if you are going to be in the area, I’d recommend taking them up on the offer if you want to see everything at Silver Dollar City.

In the evening after the park closes bring your blankets and go to the Echo Hollow Amphitheater which is on the grounds for a great 90 minute show, my kids loved this when they were little,

      • I still do. A variety show full of entertainment that every ones enjoys.

Silver Dollar City has great restaurants and specialty shops, the food is always good and the shops are always fun to browse.

There are six festivals during the year, World-Fest, Kids-Fest, Bluegrass and BBQ, Southern Gospel, National Harvest and the Old Time Christmas. Each festival runs about a month and they are each unique and wonderful to experience. World-Fest is my favorite, it’s an incredible experience, if you only make one trip to Silver Dollar City I would recommend coming to the World-Fest. It runs from April 3rd to May 4th this year -

2008. International performers from around the world come and entertain with awesome entertainers, they also share stories and traditions of their culture.

One negative issue I have is the price increases each year. Another bad thing about the park is that it is hilly very hilly, people that have a hard time walking distances really need to bring a wheel chair and the little kids definitely need a stroller.

Silver Dollar City is worth visiting at least once in your life, we visited more frequently when our kids were younger but the grandkids are up and coming and we’ll be taking them when we feel they are old enough to enjoy it.
