John Cusack stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson in this tale of a haunted room in a hotel. Stories of the horrors that this room has caused even made headlines in the local newspapers. It would seem that anyone who enters the room and stays longer than a certain period, would not be able to leave the room at all, unless the decide to

commit suicide by which ever means there be.

1408 is simple one of many mockeries of a horror movie coming from the directors in Hollywood. As far as I can see, there is nothing really original about this movie, as the Sci-Fi channel aires programmes that are more terrifying and scary that this movie.

Why would anyone want to pay good money to go sit ...

      • in a theatre and watch this, when you can just switch to the Sci-Fi channel and enjoy something more entertaining.

Again I must wonder, where are the directors and producers that have the proper knowledge of how to direct a movie not doing so. There is a serious lack of originality in movies that are being made these days. If it’s not a remake

of a previously made movie, it’s the remake of a remake. Seems that they are trying just to add a modern day look of current CGI technology and reap the benefits for this.

Though 1408 is not as bad as most other films, it is right up there rubbing elbows with the rest of the bad movies made. This movie to me is quite simple put…a waste.
