One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest is a movie that stars Jack Nicholson at Murphy. Murphy is a patient in a mental institution.

I have to tell you, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest is a very sad film.

It is not the kind of movie you watch to be inspired or feel better.

On the other hand, if you want

to see some brilliant acting by a young Jack Nicholson, you need to watch this movie.

Murphy is an outcast, and he was sent to the mental institution because he is a criminal who is insane.

Murphy is quite a kook, but everyone in the mental institution is not quite right, and they all become friends.

And who can forget Nurse ...

      • Ratched? Nurse Ratched has a tough job because she has to keep everyone medicated and in line.

Not an easy job! The patients hate and resent Nurse Ratched but I can see where she is coming from.

Because this is the movies, characters are a bit overblown.

The story goes on as Murphy and his friends try to deal with being

locked up and like all prisoners, mental or otherwise, they plan an escape.

This never comes about because of events to follow, which lead to a very bad ending for Murphy.

I won’t give away the ending, but you will be saddened by what happens to him.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest is not a movie for children, and it is not pleasant.
