Meet The Parents is a family favorite. Ben Stiller is his usual funny self in this film.

He plays Greg Focker, and you know that with a name like that, there are some troubles bound to happen.

Greg is in love with Pam and he wants to propose but finds out that in order to ask for Pam’s hand in marriage,

he can’t just burst out a surprise proposal to her, but he has to go and make sure her father is approving.

That sets the stage for Pam and Greg to travel to her family’s home and from there the movie carries on.

Pam still does not know what is to happen, as she and Greg are going home to attend ...

      • her sister’s wedding.

Ben Stiller is perfect against Robert DeNiro, and if you watch the back story and commentary of Meet The Parents, you will discover that the two actors had so much fun creating tension and making faces and looks at each other.

They are the perfect foils for each other.

I really like Blythe Danner as Dina, Pam’s mom.

She was great as Robert DeNiro’s wife.

Meet The Parents is silly and the story hopefully would never be this horrible, because I would think that parents would be more approving of the person their son or daughter loves.

Greg has to jump through a million hoops and can never win dad’s approval.

Watch this movie with your family and enjoy!
