The new models of L. G. ’s (stands for Life’s Good!) are really impressive. Not just to look at, but because they do such a fantastic job in every area of appliance that they carry.

This review will cover the 3. 72 cu ft front load stackable washing machine. It does NOT have to be stacked, it can be beside your dryer, if you prefer.

This model is Titanium! It really is sharp looking, as titanium appliances do not make all the finger prints that stainless steel will make. This model has an electronic control panel with what is called, “Dial a Cycle”……. very easily used.

The drum is made of stainless steel that is of the never rust type. This is always good, as

it, also, takes the whamming of zippers and all those things that can put little dents into porcelain type drums. When you get these little dents, they act like hang nails against your laundry, and can really damage your laundry.

Remember, stainless steel on the inner drum is always better!

There is no transmission to go out, as it is a direct drive machine! It uses so little energy, that it hardly even makes it to the lowest amount of energy that is listed by PG&E on those little yellow cards you find inside appliances! So, it cost very little to run this huge machine. Roller jets and forced water circulation makes certain that all the laundry is washed completely. Some ...

      • washers only swish laundry around, and some only do THAT to the top or the bottom of the load!

When you are ready for the heavy duty spin cycle, you will find that this washer has the highest level of revolutions per minute that can be bought! It has 1200 RPM in that cycle, making your laundry totally dripless when you take it out of the washer, and needing far less time in the dryer.

The dryer time is very important, as dryers use a lot of energy. When you want to make certain that your clothing is sanitized, you simply push that button, and the water temp rises to 167 degrees F. That makes for very clean laundry!

        It

is possible to buy a stand that this washer may set upon, if you like.

It is normally shown this way in stores, but, that is an accessory that must be purchased, separately. It does make the washer at a nice level to wash your laundry in, and I recommend it. I, highly recommend this washer model of L.

        G. I truly intend to buy this one, next time, myself. Check it out on the web, see it at your L.

        G. dealer’s store, and decide for yourself! A very good price for this model is about $1,199. It is true, that you must pay a higher price for this than some machines, but, compared to Maytag, it isn’t high at all, for what it does.

        I highly endorse this machine!

    Juanita says :

I cannot open my detergent dispenser. I even ran the quick wash cycle to see if it would release the dispenser. Can someone help me with this problem just got back from vacation and have a mountain of laundry

    John says :

Juanita, this is actually a frequent issue with this model. The detergent top becomes jammed. The only way to get it to open is to use a flat tool to pry it open.

    Galega says :

The spring catch of the dispenser has gotten jammed in this case. This is quite an ubiquitous problem. You may need to unscrew the dispenser and rub the spring catch with a wet cotton clothe.

    Steve says :

The liquid bleach tank empties out after filling. Bleach runs out into the dry detergent tray and runs down the front of the washer. The whole tank dumps and makes quite a mess.

    John says :

Steve, it obviously sounds like the tank has a hole in it. Which means that it will need to be replaced. If you’re under warranty, this should be covered. I would suggest that you contact LG to inquire about it if you are.

    Galega says :

It is quite obvious that there is a problem with Liquid Bleach Tank. It is leaking. There might be two possible reasons behind this problem - either the tank has not been fitted properly or it has got a hole. Once optimally fitted, the tank can get away from its location leading to leakage. Hence, before getting it replaced, you should ensure that there is no issue with the fitting.

Is it good to stack these appliances? I have heard that since the rotation of the washer goes in one direction and the dryer in another, it might not be good for these appliances to be stacked. Please help we are really needing the space in the laundry room

    ReviewStream.com
    John says :

These are stackable. However, you should get the stackable kit in order to avoid the rotation that you mentioned.

    ReviewStream.com
    Galega says :

This is stackable. There is no doubt.

You can stack any dryer on top of a washer, as long as it fits. However, you could void the warranties on both appliances by doing this. That is the only problem. If your Washer is still under warranty, then I would suggest you to not go for stacking them. Or, if you are really short of space, then take professional help to do it. That will ensure safety of both washer and dryer.

My door is really stiff to open all the way. Now when I close it and run the machine it leaks out from bottom of door. I checked to see if the rubber seal had a hole in it but it did not. I did a wash and jammed a stick against the bottom of the door and it stop leaking. Is it my door adjustment?

    ReviewStream.com
    jerry says :

hi, i am having the same problem. I was wondering if you found a better solution than the stick? thanks

    ReviewStream.com
    Galega says :

There isn’t any hole on the rubber seal. And, you had no leakage after using a stick against the bottom of the door. These two sentences mean that there is a problem with the adjustment of the washer. You should call LG and ask them to do proper fitting. It may not be possible for a normal person having no expertise in handling technical issues of washer to correct it.

    Harrell Guy Graham says :

The roller jets cause the clothes to become twisted into a big knot while they are washing which prevents them from getting washed well, and, worse, the knot also causes the clothes to be stressed, pulled, torn and worn. All you have to do is watch and you will see your clothes being twisted, pulled, knotted and sheared as they get mashed into a giant hard knot that gets twisted into a harder and harder ball as your clothes are`roller jetted’ around and around. “LG: engineers without eyes (or brains)”. Seriously, didn’t the LG engineers watch a load of clothes get washed? If they had opened their eyes, they would have seen the giant knot the clothes get twisted into. This machine should never have been brought to market.
