If you don’t want to eat prepared spaghetti sauce, this is an easy recipe. It’s healthy, fresh and will make your home smell good. You can use fresh tomatoes if you want. I use canned simply because it is easier. Easy Spaghetti Sauce tastes very fresh and we think it’s much

better than store bought brands. You can add whatever other herbs/spices you like, the recipe is that versatile.

      2 cans tomatoes

1 large slice of white onion

      1 clove minced garlic

      dash oregano

      dash thyme

freshly ground black pepper and sea salt to taste

Very simple: heat skillet over medium heat. Add just a touch of olive oil,

      • maybe 1 teaspoon. Add the tomatoes. You can buy either whole or crushed, it doesn’t matter. Throw in the garlic, add oregano, thyme, pepper and sea salt. Mix well. Add the slice of white onion and let the mixture heat through. I usually let it sit on the stove for about
15 to 20 minutes. The onion slice is only for flavor; I take it out prior to serving. When the sauce is past the 20 minute mark, pour it into a blender and puree. Serve immediately with your favorite pasta or on thick slices of bread with melted cheese on top.
