For some weird reason (maybe it’s Sean Connery) I actually prefer the last of the Indiana Jones trilogy, the Last Crusade, over the other two. Im not sure why though because, when you think about it, it brings more of the bad stuff from the other two than the good stuff.

      First, as far

as special effects are concerned, this one has the least of them. There are some, but not many. And, like the Temple of Doom, the film adds way too many comic situations than necessary; taking away from the overall seriousness of the plot.

However, I do like the fact this movie actually requires the ...

      • characters to follow clues so they can find the treasure they’re seeking (in this case, the Holy Grail). And, that treasure hunt does add a little bit of intrigue to a plot that might otherwise go stale quickly.

The banter between Jones and his father also is entertaining and, while, again, there are too

many attempts at comedy in this action film, they do have a few funny moments that are great.

I think that’s why I was disappointed to learn they are coming out with a fourth Indiana Jones film. I just can’t see how they could create a better ending to the series than they did with this movie.
