Before Paul Mooney decided to strike the “N” word from his personal (and professional) vocabulary in 2006, he released a DVD called “Know Your History. ” Mooney is known for being extremely controversial, as much of his routines revolve around race relations.

In “Know Your History”, he addresses the

idea that both Jesus and Cleopatra were black people.

Whether or not you believe this is irrelevant because Mooney (along with archaeologists) provides little details which point to this fact.

But the manner in which he does so, is so funny that you will forget how controversial the ...

      • things he’s saying are.

What I really like about this particular stand-up routine, is that it’s “light.

” Sometimes, Mooney has a tendency to make his stand-up routines more like humorous political lectures.

You can tell that he easily offends people with the things he says because at

one point during the performance, you can see a white couple getting up and leaving after Mooney launches into another of his hilarious tirades.

I suggest that you see this only if you have a thick skin, some solid views on race relations, and a strong sense of humor.
