The Masters of Horror series is like a crap shoot. You never know what kind of mess (or jewel) you’re going to get.

John Carpenter, the director behind this film did a fairly good job of creating suspense and horror.

The film focuses on a 15 year-old girl

who has become pregnant and is seeking an abortion.

Upon examining the obviously pregnant girl, the doctors are horrified to realize that she was just impregnated that week.

In the meanwhile, the girl’s father is actively trying to get to her in order to take her home.

      There ...

      • are several different struggles going on in this little film: the girl against both the “baby” and her father and brothers, the clinic workers against the father and sons, and ultimately, the beast baby and the rest of the world.

At any rate, this movie was decent, but had a

        very “cheap” feel.

In fact, I felt that the horror could have been better achieved with a more rugged approach.

This was a little too “Tales from the Darkside” for me.

Kudos to whoever created the “baby.

” That was one freaky looking creature.

        Ugh.
