I just finished reading Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol to my daughter and she said she would love to see a movie about it. Wanting to find a movie that gave justice to the book yet wasn’t too scary for her, I finally settled on Mickey’s

      Christmas Carol.

The thing I like about this cartoon is it focuses on the basic plot of the book; Scrooge’s life, his greed and his redemption. But, it does it in a way that is suitable for all ages to watch. You still have the ghosts but ...

      • none are scary. Unless,of course, you get scared by Jimminy Cricket or the giant from Jack & The Bean Stalk; something that probably requires some sort of therapy.

        If

you’re looking for a way to share this classic Christmas story with your children, this is a movie I would highly recommend to you. It’s one of the few out there that tell the tale accurately but is mild enough to prevent even the youngest child from having nightmares.
