I have just finished the third installment of Diana Gabaldon’s Lord John series, Lord John and the Hand of Devils. If you are not familiar with her writing, they are all period pieces and the Lord John series takes place in the 1750’s,

the time of the Seven Years War.

She winds the make believe world of her characters with the real life events of the times with an expertise that has gotten her works on the New York Times bestseller list.

      For those of you ...

      • who are familiar with Lord John Grey, the family mystery is solved, but not before he and his brother fight in the war and have a disagreement over a clue to their fathers death.

The resolution finally comes from an old adversary.

        If you

are a fan of the series, you can quess who that is.

Those who have not read the books, should start with the first one, Lord John and the Private Matter.

For those of you who have enjoyed the previous ones, this will not disappoint.
