      Straight Say: Worth trying

Bored of Hindi triangular love story? This novel offers something more. If you are a book hunk and can spend two hours a day for a month, a tale of two cities is worth trying. Though not the best of Dickens work, it is a promising one. The book was published in mid nineteenth century, and thus, have a dictionary besides you to tackle old words. Also,

better to read an abridged version since it would not give you too much language related stress.

About a French doctor Alexander Manette and his daughter Lucie, it is set in the backdrop of French Revolution. The doctor was imprisoned for 18 years in Bastille prison by a royal family, the Evremondes. The doctor then comes to London with his daughter. Ironically, Evermondes son, Charles Darnay leaves behind all the wealth and comes to London, where he was charged for ...

      • treason. Defence lawyers assistant, Sydney Carton, resembled Darnay strikingly, and this point was exploited to save Darnay. Interestingly, both Darnay and Carton fell in love with Lucie, but she eventually marries Darnay. Just when the future seemed safe, French Revolution broke out and Darnay was called to France and then their lives take an acute turn.

Honestly you might not like the initial stages of the book, but stick to it. The story gets better

and more interesting progressively. And yes, dropping it in mid flight is just silly and unfortunate. Unless you are very dispassionate, you would find it quite touchy and would think about it for days to come. It is certainly a good bargain to try.
