  • It's not really very deep, and while there is a bit of a Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility feel to it - the main character is hanging around with people of a different economic sphere, ignoring the nice guy and going after the more interesting guy, it is made overt by the use of the name Willoughby for the interesting guy

This book is a fun, light read. It’s not really very deep, and while there is a bit of a Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility feel to it - the main character is hanging around with people of a different economic sphere, ignoring the nice guy and going

after the more interesting guy, it is made overt by the use of the name Willoughby for the interesting guy. The book doesn’t actually follow the plot of the Jane Austen novel, though, other than those comparisons.

The writing is decent, but doesn’t always flow well, and it has ...

      • a somewhat confusing feel to it because you see what a lot of the characters are thinking but it isn’t consistent - it isn’t like one chapter is from one character’s perspective, and often the authors, rather than having a characters actions or thoughts explain, actually write an
explanation of what someone is thinking or what it is they do or don’t know. I felt that a lot of information was over explained.

I don’t think I would recommend this book, although it is a nice read. It is certainly a pleasant way to pass a few hours, though.
