  • I believe from observing their health, (the Rotty died from a reaction to medicine I applied), and their overall activity and intelligence level that the food provided a healthy balance of nutrition
  • In conclusion I would recommend the food and believe it is good quality for the animals
  • I know the current hype is for the designer health-food but just like for us humans, sometimes you just can't afford the health-food store, organic, name-brand, top-shelf stuff
  • For us regular joes and our pets, I think the Old Roy is a good compromise

I would like to say that not all off-brand pet foods are a good source of nutrition. I will be the first to tell you I am not a nutritionist but, I am an observer, and a pet lover. My husband and I currently have two dogs, an Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix named Sheela, and a Terrier mix, who is almost fourteen years old, named Casey. We lost our Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix last year, and we found a

home for our overly aggressive Chihuahua last month, he bit the Fed-Ex man. You’ll be relieved to know he went to a couple who can spend more time with him and hopefully work on his personality issues. All of our dogs have done very well on Old Roy dog food.

As I said Casey is almost fourteen and he has eaten Old Roy exclusively for eight years. Sheela and Einstein, the Rotty mix,and Patches the Chihuahua,

      • never ate any other food. Nor did our son’s Lab mix Dixie. They are or were beautiful, healthy and happy specimens of their breeds. I believe from observing their health, (the Rotty died from a reaction to medicine I applied), and their overall activity and intelligence level that the food provided a healthy balance of nutrition. They are also quite satisfied with it. Of course people food is preferred but that isn’t a fair comparison.

In conclusion I would recommend the food and believe it is good quality for the animals. I know the current hype is for the designer “health-food” but just like for us humans, sometimes you just can’t afford the health-food store, organic, name-brand, top-shelf stuff. For us regular joes and our pets, I think the Old Roy is a good compromise.
