  • I think people just got used to Roger Moore and rejected Dalton because of that
  • Unfortunately, the other action films were cathing up with this and films like The Terminator and Manhunter are just in a different galaxy than the Bond films from the 80s, both on a technical and artistic level

A new daylight for James Bond here played by a completely unknown actor named Timothy Dalton. I am one of a minority of people who can’t for the life of me understand what is so terrible about his appearances in this

and the next Bond film. I think people just got used to Roger Moore and rejected Dalton because of that. Perhaps he doesn’t have the same charm as Roger Moore, but the novels of 007 doesn’t really describe him as a ...

      • humoristic figure, and therefore I think Dalton does an excellent job. Also, the stunts and effects of this film is far better than ever before in a Bond film. Unfortunately, the other action films were cathing up with this and films
like The Terminator and Manhunter are just in a different galaxy than the Bond films from the 80s, both on a technical and artistic level. Despite that fact, The Living Daylights is a very good addition to the 007 series of films.
