  • The opinions of Wenders are very divided, and I personally think his later films are very overrated, but back in the 70s and 80s he created some highly fascinating pieces of cinema, and Paris, Texas is the best of these
  • This in combination with the perfects fitting music of Ry Cooder makes an unforgetable cinematic experience

Wim Wenders was a part of the german new wave in the early 70s along with Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Werner Herzog for instance. The opinions of Wenders are very divided, and I personally

think his later films are very overrated, but back in the 70s and 80s he created some highly fascinating pieces of cinema, and Paris, Texas is the best of these. It is the story ...

      • of a lonely man who discovers he has a son and goes to find the boy’s mother with him. It is the mere visual aspect of Paris, Texas that amazes me. It’s absolutely incredible
how Wenders created these images of the american desert landscape, and the colors schemes he uses takes my breath away completely. This in combination with the perfects fitting music of Ry Cooder makes an unforgetable cinematic experience.
