A few months ago I decided that it was time for me to get a Car fridge. I was looking for something that was inexpensive but that was also capable of keeping things cool. I settled for a Waeco thermoelectric cooler/warmer. I was happy with the results initially since it does exactly what it says….it is capable of colling upto 27 degrees below the ambient temperature and is also capable of keeping things warm at the mere flick of a switch.
The down side
however is that it has to plugged in to the car’s cigarette lighter all the time to work since there are no portable batteries that I have found that are capable of handling the power consumption. Since I drive for just a couple of hours of day, it is by no means enough to provide sufficient power to even get the fridge moderately cool.
