  • Along with the fact that the pen writes smooth, is the amazing fact that it requires VERY little pressure to force the ink out onto the paper
  • The colored inks tend to cost more, and are usually required to be purchased in groups of multi-colored pens
  • I enjoy having a pen that requires having the ink changed very seldom or not at all
  • I would recommend this pen to anyone interested in an extremely smooth, safe pen

The Jetstream, by Uniball (a company of Sanford) is currently one of the greatest selling ball point pens, and for several great reasons.

QUICK-DRYING/CHECK SAFE This pen contains specially formulated ink which prevents check fraud, which is where criminals use certain chemicals to wash the ink from check, and allows them to write any number they wish. The ink binds directly with the paper, which makes it nearly impossible for anyone to “wash” the check. The ink also dries very quickly - almsot the second it hits the paper! This means no more annoying smearing, or dragging your hand through wet ink.

      SMOOTH The pen writes extremely

smooth. I’m extremely surprised at how smooth the pen writes, seeing as how the pen has oil-based ink. Most pens that have oil-based inks are more dependable, but tend to write in finer (less bold) lines than gel and water-based inks. Oil-based inks (such as bic round stick, papermate pens, etc) are usually more dependable and hardly ever stop writing, until completely out of ink. Along with the fact that the pen writes smooth, is the amazing fact that it requires VERY little pressure to force the ink out onto the paper. The weight of the pen alone is enough to provide a steady ink ...

INK COLORS These pens come in an assorted variety of inks, Typically black, blue, and red. The colored inks tend to cost more, and are usually required to be purchased in groups of multi-colored pens.

INK SUPPLY The ink supply is the only downfall of the pen. The ink doesn’t seem to last very long, which doesn’t impress me much. I enjoy having a pen that requires having the ink changed very seldom or not at all. This pen… With the amount of writing I do at school, must be changed around once every 2 weeks. Which is quite often, but I guess it could

really put a toll on the pocket.

APPEARANCE The look of the pen is awesome. Pictures can be found on the Uni-Ball website, along with several other video advertisements of the pen. The pen looks as if it’s extremely expensive, and would be used only by professionals. I personally think that half of the pen’s overall quality is in the appearance.

OVERALL SATISFACTION Overall, I’m really happy with this pen. It writes extremely smooth, has a variety of colors available, Is quick drying, check safe, and looks awesome! The only downfall of the pen is the fact that it\’s an ink-hog. I would recommend this pen to anyone interested in an extremely smooth, safe pen.

Uni-ball is not a company under Sanford. It is a brand of pens and pencils made by the Mitsubishi Pencil Company not related to the motor company but distributed under Sanford in the US.
