      • own impression after watching it. There is only one memorable scene from this film and that is one of the battle sequences, amazingly powerful with the music of Prokofiev and the dynamic images of Eisenstein that made me think of
        his old silent masterpiece Battleship Potemkin. Except for that one scene I didn’t find this film to be interesting. Most of the narrative has aged rather badly and doesn’t impress me as much as it perhaps did to the people back then.
