Steven Spielberg’s oscarwinning depiction of the d-day during World War II when the american army invaded Normandy in France to fight the germans. The opening 15 minutes of the film is incredibly intense and well-directed with possibly the

      • to complete this mission. The result of this is a sentimental and in the end rather boring journey which doesn’t really have a point in my opinion. It is so typical Spielberg to satisfy his audience with a
heartwrenching storyline like that and the whole film is stinking of american patriotism. It gives a wrongful view of who really did what in the World War II and that makes it hard for me to take anything seriously.
