Rakhi : it’s a festival for brothers and sisters . the story goes that Draupadi, wife of pandavas tied a cloth the block the blood running out of a hurt , and in return lord Krishna promised to protect her till he lives

      on.

Thus it became a tradition of sisters tying a tread to their brothers which is indicative of an oath by the brother saying to protect and safeguard their sisters in case of any difficulties till their last breath.

      On this day the ...

      • sisters go their brother’s house to tie rakhi.

And in turn brothers give presents to their sister promising their presence at times of any difficulties.

This festival is widely celebrated in India, making it unique.

Thus making this festival one of the most

        favorite among the Indians.

Its not necessary to have a blood relation between any two to celebrate this festival, hence even people who are not siblings can celebrate as its much about feelings and sacraded empotions, and does not depnds on blood relations per se.
