  • My only real complaint about the film was they dragged out the series of events that led to the bear being placed into the wild but didn't spend as much time focusing on his time there

When I finally got around to watching the movie Open Season this past weekend, I figured it would be a lot like the other animated movies I’ve watched recently. I was right. But,

      it was still entertaining.

The movie, which centers around a bear who was raised by humans but is then put into the wild has quite a few hilarious moments featuring everything from territorial squirrels to hard working beavers who are drawn together by the start of hunting season and realize they must fight to survive.

of events that led to the bear being placed into the wild but didn’t spend as much time focusing on his time there. Most of the movie was him being lost; a joke
that got old after a while.

The movie also had some things that might not be suitable for young children though it was probably more me since my daughter didn’t seem to even notice them.

they spend to much time just talking about his time getting there but that was the main focus in the second movie

The movie Open Season is a decent family movie that shows people what’s it like to be overwhelmed in a new environment. The entire movie is sort of setup to resemble what’s it’seems like being the new kid in school. Boog makes friends with elliot while also gets comically harassed by other woodsy creatures. There are some funny moments in the movie as it runs through a lot characters, all the while still focusing on Boog being an outcast to nature. Overall, a cute little movie.

I agree. I was so focused on the "fish out of water" angle, but there’s almost no room for anything else.
