  • It is very powerful to see these incredibly well-crafted action scenes stuffed on each other, but after a few of them I thought it was rather boring with gunshots going off constantly in an orgy of violence and slow-motion shots

      The Killer is John Woo’s Hong Kong action movie from the late 80s that has cult reputation in some circuits. It is a most intense film with an extreme quick pace.

      A cop and a villain chase each other in a game of death, and the action sequences are just countless here. Actually the story behind isn’t worth mentioning because John Woo puts all his effort into the visual style.       it was rather boring with gunshots going off constantly in an orgy of violence and slow-motion shots. It looks great for a while, but Mr Woo uses to much of these
      igredients and forgets about what he is actually trying to tell us. See it for the visual style only, but be adviced, you might feel sick afterwards and in need of a slow drama.
