Age of mythology : Titans is actually an expansion to the Age of Mythology game. But it is more than an expansion in its normal sense. Usually expansions introduce few new units and content themselves with new scenaios only.

But Age of Mythology : Titans is different. It introduces a new civilisation Atlantis along with the exisiting civilisations of Norse, Egyptian and Greek civilisations. Also along with the new civilisation 3 major gods are added and 9 minor gods are added. Each having his own unique god powers. Also new myth units like behemoth, automaton and satyr are added adding to the games attraction.

The Age of Mythology : Titans is easier to play than the original game. This is because of the advantages of the new atlantean civilisation. The atlantean villagers are better than the villagers of any one civilisation because they are able to collect resources faster. Also they do not

need resource drop off points like other villagers of other civilisation require. But as if ward off this advantages the atlantean villagers require more resources to be built. Another advantage of Atlantean civilisation is that it can expand right from the begining age. This is because atlanteans gain favour by expanding their empire.

And what is better! Atlanteans can reuse their god powers two to three times. Also each unit can be converted to a hero. Even villagers can be converted to heros. A hero will fight well as well as a villager converted to a hero will collect resources better. But converting units to heros is costly. So if you have enough resources you can ward off any army of myth units with a few villagers. Also you can train almost all units in a barrack. And you can do all the upgrades in an armoury. So instead of making an empire ...

      • with all the building scattered, the empire of atlantis will be more compact amd powerful.

Age of Mythology : Titans also introduces the new principle of limitless queue. This means that a building will go on producing a particular unit as long as resources are there. This helps you as you will not have to return to the buildings again and again to train troops. But there is a possibility that you will run out of resources if you leave the limitless queue option checked by mistake.

Some of the wonderful godpowers are teleport a building. This means you can teleport some of your building near to the enemy base and quickly train units for an ambush. Also there is a god power to deconstruct enemy building. So you dont have to bother seiging them. Just deconstruct the military buildings of the enemy as you attack. So simple! Yet another god power is the

sky passage. You can create a sky passage near your base and one near the enemies base. Just make your troop enter the sky passage and you can unload them at the other!

Even though all these are very exciting you might notice that some of these ideas are not very original. They are found in other games too. Also the titans are clumsy when it comes to fighting soldiers. A large army of soldiers can attack a titan or make him run around. Any way the titan gate is a new concept. Once you build a titan gate you can summon a Titan to fight for you from the underworld. This is an added advantage.

So considering all these facts I would recommend highly this game to anyone playing the Age of Mythology game. It costs about 18$ and you may get a discount while buying it. So go buy the game and enjoy!!!
