Many people in the world play professional marbles. You are a professional when you are willing to wager valuable antique marbles into the pot as your buy in.In Dixie, Washington, there is a group of professional players that play by such wagers when they play the Marble World Tournaments version, on a professional marble pit located on the top tier of the property next to the school.

The game is about placing your wager in a pot that is called a gate. This

central gate gives you the power to attack. As you hunt the other players down in this 20′ diameter pit,you are allowed to shoot from other gates known as black holes. These triangular placed pots that surround the main gate are a god send and a nightmare to your game. You may shoot from these, but not into them.Shooting into one will cost you 1 life.

Each player has five chances. When you are killed you have one less chance until each chance has ...

      • expired. You die when a HOT player hits you.

Shooting in is done from one location outside the pit. Once all players have shot into the pit, leaving the pit boundary is an instant death.

All players shoot in an order determined by the drop. The drop is when you drop your marble from eye level to try and be closest to the target. Closest is first and so on.

Once you have started play ,you have to chase the other

players down without leaving the arena. The last man standing with at least one un-expired life, wins! More information can be obtained for free at my email address, as I am dedicated to letting the knowledge flow.If you like to play marbles and you think you are the best, then make that circular pit, put one pot in the middle and start practicing. Once you are done training, look for Marble World Tournaments players in your area. You may get the chance to be a club member!
