I recently bought the easy chopper, similar to the nicer dicer units, from Superteck and it is useless. I bought my at Walmart, but I now see they also have them for sale in the new Sears catalogue.

They are about 20 and claim

that they have ultra sharp interchangeable blades that can dice , chop and slice onions, potatoes, tomatoes mushrooms apples and more.

I have only tried with an onion and it was a disaster.

It would chop and I had to keep cutting the ...

      • piece that I put in smaller and smaller.

It ended up turning the onion to mush and everything kept getting jammed up.

The box also claims that it is practical because it eliminates messy chopping board and counter clean-ups.

        Well, I still had

to use a knife and cutting board to get the onion pieces I was putting into the chopper small enough, and as for clean-up, it was a nightmare trying to get the chopper and blades clean.

It would have been so much easier just to use a knife.
