Dario Argento’s film begins in the most magnificent way I have ever seen. With a constantly moving camera Argento reveals certain images that fills me with excitement and suspense.

      It seems to go

on and on, just until the camera stops, and somebody gets brutally murdered.

This murder could well be the most disgusting and violent scene I’ve ever experienced, and by that the film also murdered itself.

The rest is just an ...

ordinary murder-victim story not close to what Argento could do at his best.

Poor taste in music and how the violence is put to the screen.

Terrible acting too, but that’s normal in

      any Argento film.

So, to sum it up, the beginning of the film is a top rating, the rest is bottom, so the overall rating is below medium.

Argento lost his touch a long time ago.
