I don’t really know why they still call this Crystal Cave because there are no crystals left. I can barely remember the time when the looting began, but my mom said that during a time when there was an economic crisis, the locals went into the cave and dug up all the crystals.

She still had photos of when the cave was filled with the crystals.

      And

      they were beautiful.

The way the crystals reflected light and made small rainbows inside the cave was a wonderful sight to behold, even if it’s just a picture.

Now, when you do go see the cave, there will be no crystals.

But you will still be able to see the rock formation, and even the small crevices where the crystals were taken out.

      The walls are massive ...

      • and the ceiling is high.

You could try shouting and you’d hear the sound of your voice echo on the walls.

I don’t know if it’s made of limestone, but the rocks used to be light in color.

Through the years, there have been an accumulation of moss on the ground as well as on some of the walls.

But you can still see the light colors

        on some spots.

Many people knew Crystal Cave as one of the many wonderful tourists spots in the Philippines, and many still flock there.

But fewer and fewer people have become interested because not a lot of people recommend that you go there since it’s already barren.

But I recommend that you visit the place, just to see all the rock formation and wondrous locations of Baguio City.
