If you want to edit your home movies like one of the pro’s then Final Cut Pro is the edititng system for you. this video editing software runs only on macinosh computes, and was the entire reason I decided to purchase a mac as my current computer.

      The software is

used my small movie makers, as well as large ones all over the world to make quality films.

There are a multitude of different features within the program taht allow the user to create fantastic effects within their film.

Some of my favorites are mkaing a split screen where you ...

      • are actually showing two different pieces of video at the same time, and allof the wipes.

Final Cut Pro also makes to possible for you to lighten up video you shot too dark, or darken video that was shot too light.

I recently used the program to edit a concert

        i shot.

I used the filters to mkae the video from my camera match the video from a friends who also shot the concert, so we could use both cameras together.

The programs is extreamly expensive, but it is a must have for anyone who is truly interested in becoming a film maker.

Hey Russ, how about you try this - Launch Final Cut Pro. Open the video project file that contains the clip that you want to darken.

Double-click the clip in the Timeline pane. Final Cut Pro displays the clip in the Viewer pane so that you can view changes to the video as you apply the visual effects. Move the playhead control button over the clip to display the video.

Click the Effects tab in the browser pane. Click and select the Video Effects option and then click Color Correction in the submenu.

Select Color Corrector 3-Way in the list of Color Correction options. Drag the option from the Effects pane to the Viewer pane and drop it onto the selected clip.

Click the Color Corrector 3-Way Filter tab above the clip in the Viewer pane. Final Cut Pro displays a window containing three color-corrector wheels one wheel for blacks, one for midrange colors and one for whites. Below each wheel is a slider bar for controlling the saturation level of each color wheel element. Below this is another slider bar that controls the overall saturation level of the clip.

Move the main slider bar at the bottom of the window to the left to reduce the overall saturation level of the clip. Tweak the black, white and midrange levels by moving the slider bars under each color wheel until you achieve the desired appearance on the video clip in the Viewer pane.
