There once was a time when I spent a great deal of my time online at the Beliefnet. com message boards.

There was usually something interesting going on, there was lots of fighting, vibrant debate, and fellowship.

That was a couple of years ago.

      Then they started having

hosts, posts started getting pulled on a regular basis, some of the best posters got banned, and, well, things just sort of went down the toilet.

      At least in my opinion.

I still check it out every now and then, although I never post anymore.

      The Politics ...

      • and Iraq War boards are still somewhat interesting, although most Iraq War debate is on the Politics board so the Iraq War board is fairly dead.

But, still, all in all, if you are looking for a somewhat interesting message board, you can do a lot worse than

        Beliefnet.

        com.

They have hundreds of message boards, there are many I haven’t gone to, but quite a few of them have hardly anyone on them.

You’ll want to watch for that when choosing where you want to try to start discussions.

If you’re bored one day, give Beliefnet.

        com message boards a shot.
