The film 2001: A Space Odyssey is a mind bending triumph of land mark cinematic filmmaking. Released in 1968, it was a box office hit, but was misunderstood by many critics as to what they were viewing.

They had no idea they were viewing a celluloid epic creation which was rewriting the

film narrative and reawakening interest in science fiction cinema which was very popular in the 1950s.

This remarkable film was a 1960’s pop culture icon in science fiction and eclipsed the dawn of the space race between the United States and Russia.

It also showed mans’ progression from lowly apes ...

      • to beings that are now traveling the stars that make contact with alienoid artifacts on the Earth’s moon, and near the huge gaseous planet Jupiter.

These alienoid artifacts may or may not have had an effect on humanity since the very beginning of time.

The original author of 2001, Arthur C.

        Clarke

and Stanley Kubrick were co-scripters for the ambitious project.

It stared Keir Dullea, Gary Lockwood, and William Sylvester.

It was directed by one of the finest directors of the era’ Stanley Kubrick.

The music from The Vienna Philharmonic orchestra and Bavarian Philharmonic Radio Orchestra and Choir gave 2001 an omnipotent and epical feel.
