There are so many options out there that it was difficult to select an electric range. Everything about this stove is easy. You don’t have be a computer geek to understand how to operate it.

Although it does have some negative points. To start off with this stove carries a quite hefty price.

The ceramic cook top has been replaced twice. It isn’t due the cook top not working - it is due to the ceramic wearing out.

I do a lot of canning and the cook top ceramics on

it’s top rub off from my pressure canner. Maytag keeps on giving me a new cook top and they claim it isn’t supposed to do it but it does.

The self-cleaning oven works well, but has burned the door. I followed the instructions and it must have gotten so hot that there are burn marks on the top of the oven door.

Now that Maytag won’t replace and it looks like hell. It looks like someone took a torch to it.

2 burners switch from large to small which I really like. Makes ...

      • no sense to use a whole burner if you don’t have to.

Then you can all kinds of small pots going at once. It must have been a woman that designed the cook top - the large burners are in front and works great when you are dealing with large kettles.

I always hated having to reach, lift and pull the kettles over things when they were in the back. The oven is button operated - when it starts to warm it is always starting at 350 - which means I usually don’t have

to adjust to a higher or lower temp, since most pizzas and such start at that temp.

The oven is really nice and big, that is great for cooking for large meals and easy to put and pull things out. The oven holds it temp really well too! I raise my homemade bread in the oven and it keeps its heat really well even without the oven being on - makes raising bread easy!! The bottom draw is small because of the big oven - but I guess there is always a trade-off .
