This book is the third in the Wayside School series, following Sideways Stories from Wayside School and Wayside School is Falling Down. One of the stories in this book was the basis for the first episode of the TV show based on these

books, Wayside. In this book, the children have returned to Wayside. There are a few odd incidents, and some excitement arises from the installation of new elevators for the school (which would certainly make the climb up to the thirtieth story easier), but ...

      • the main excitement comes from the substitute teachers the students must have. These stories are fresh and funny - good for any kid. These books are especially good for kids in grades 3 and 4. This book is a bit mroeo sequential than
the first book - you actually need to read the previous chapter before reading the next one in order to follow a storyline, unlike in Sideways Stories from Wayside School, the first book in this series, which could be read in any order and still make sense.
