I am reviewing the movie, Young Sherlock Holmes, a Paramount Pictures Presentation done in 1985 with executive producer Steven Spielberg, and written by Chris Columbus, who was recently involved in the first two Harry Potter movies. This movie explores the story of what would happen if Sherlock Holmes and John Watson met as school

Nicholas Rowe stars as the young Sherlock Holmes, and Alan Cox plays the young Dr.

Sophie Ward plays the young love interest of Sherlock Holmes at their England boarding school.

When the boys discover a plot by an Egyption cult to murder a group of business men, the adventure begins, ending with ...

      • the unfortunate death of Holmes’ girlfriend.

It is here that he announces that he will be alone the rest of his life.

Little did he know, right? You certainly see certain similarities between the Harry POtter movies and this movie.

The settings are alike, as are the magical elements, sets, and characters.

Cox even looks like a young Harry Potter! Overall, this movie is good.

There are elements of everything to be found within it, and there are scenes that still creep me out, and I’m in my twenties! If you’re a Sherlock Holmes fan, or even a mystery lover, you\’re sure to enjoy this one.
