Kiss of Midnight is written by Lara Adrian. I do not know what is up with the paperback novel fiction nowadays that keep writing about vampire and romance.

Both of these are somewhat related, and has been around for ages.

I see this style of writing and sometimes the formula works,

      and sometimes, not.

In this story, Lucan Thorne is a vampire and he has been watching sensual black-haired Gabrielle Maxwell.

On the other hand, she found that she is having some deepest fantasies about this guy.

That night, Gabrielle witnesses a murder outside the club, and from that moment on, her life has ...

      • been changed instantly.

She managed to find out that vampires stalk the shadows and a blood war is set to ignite.

That is when Lucan comes to the picture since he is a Vampire himself.

He is a Breed warrior and his duty was to protect his own kind.

        However, Lucan

cannot risk binding himself to a mortal woman, but he can’t help falling for her.

Gabrielle is targeted by his enemies, and it was his duty to protect her as well, no matter that she is a mortal.

I would certainly say that this story works for me.

The Vampire method works this time, and is certainly great.
