I have tried Priya Sona Masoori Rice this time. They are very nice.

The cooked rice is also good.

The rice is short and little bit thin.

we entire family liked this rice.

      I bought

5 kg packet from local super market for reasonable price.

This rice is very cheap when compared with basmathi rice.

The quality of the rice is good.

It is not becoming paste after pressure cooking.

      • Because some kind of rice become paste when you cook them in pressure cooker, though you put exact amount of water.

But Priya rice is not like that.

Some times cook using pressure cooker and

sometimes I cook in normal way without keeping any pressure.

They are giving two year expiry period.

They say that this sortexed quality rice.

This is the product of India and produced by ushodaya enterprise ltd.

    Galega says :

You are unlikely to find it in Telford. It is not exported to England. Apart from India, it is only available in the UAE, Kuwait and Oman.

I have seen Priya Basmati Rice as a Product of Pakistan in Montreal whereas, I was always under the impression as it is Product of India. Please clarify.
    Galega says :

It is in fact a product of India, not Pakistan. I don’t know where and how you have seen this product being processed and manufactured in Pakistan.

It is an India based company based in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh).
    Raj says :

Priya Sona Masoori is not good rice for making yogurt rice since you cannot make it pasty. Yogurt rice tastes best when rice is pasty. I tried one cup with even three cups of water and good number of whistles and still the rice remains separate and does not become pasty. Of course, the rice remains as separate grains when using electric rice cooker.

If you like rice separate (not pasty), then it is good for you.
