I’ve had the screen now for 6 months without any problems. It was the largest one I could fit in my car (for carputer).

As with most LCDs, it is quite difficult to read when in the sun (or when something white is reflecting in it,

such as someone in the passenger seat with sun on their white shirt).

Like most small touchscreens, it doesn’t support normal resolutions - instead it has 800×400 pixels which is rather stupid since no onboard graphics card supports this.

This means your either forced to run ...

      • 800×480, or some other resolution which the monitor then scales.

Solutions to this (which I don’t do) are either to buy a dedicated graphics card (which wouldn’t fit where I have

my computer) or to run some software conversion.

In addition to VGA, it also supports RCA connectors (so for instance you could connect a rear-view camera).

The touchscreen works well though, and it has no dead pixels and has held up to the car environment quite well.
