So I just saw this little gem for the first time. For those not in the know, Hell Comes to Frogtown is a 1987 post-apocalyptic sci-fi flick starring none other than Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Piper plays the titular character, Sam Hell.

He’s one of the last potent

men on the planet after everyone else has become sterile due to the nuclear war.

He gets caught by this group called Med Tech so that he can be used to breed with fertile females.

The only problem is that the only fertile females around just happened ...

      • to be prisoners in a mutant reservation called Frogtown.

The whole thing is very silly, and knowing so.

Unlike a lot of such low-budget (the movie was made for like $10,000 or something) post-apocalyptic thrillers, Hell Comes to Frogtown does not take itself seriously in the least, which

        makes it much more enjoyable.

The costumes are terrible, the acting is bad, the special effects are bad: everything is bad.

If you enjoy silly little B-movies, though, you will certainly enjoy this.

It did well enough to spawn two sequels, so there is definitely something appealing about it.
