Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for the Xbox gaming system was a big disappointment for me. First of all, this adventure game looks gorgeous on Xbox! The designs are very rich in color and intricately detailed.

This game looks better than many similar adventure games out today.

      It has

it’s own very unique style that updates the previous games but has a new edge.

Oddly enough, I was not impressed by the cinematic sequences and cut-scenes.

You’d think they would be top quality, but some moments had a choppiness and angular look that makes them seem slightly ...

      • out-dated.

On the other hand, the great visuals don’t compensate for the fact that the game quickly becomes monotonous.

I got bored with the levels only after playing for less than an hour.

Soon it wasn’t exciting to play.

There is a lack of variety within each level.

Some tasks feel tedious, and even the characters are monotonous and slow.

There are lots of new weapons though, though it takes a while to unlock them.

Overall, I did not enjoy Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.

It looks great, and is visually stunning, but the game runs out of fuel much too quickly.
