  • I am originally from a very hot country where the climate is constant 365 days a year and you can grow almost anything. After a couple of years of having moved to a country where you actually experience 4 different seasons and having unsuccessfully tried to grow plants indoors during the winter months, I came up with a very simple solution that has given me great results. It is a 100% natural fertilizer.

This is what you will need: egg shells and used coffee grounds.

It is the simplest yet most effective fertilizer ever.

This is how you do it:

    1) collect as many egg shells as you can ( you will need at least egg shells from 4 eggs to make a good amount of fertilizer for 4 or 5 medium size pots) - you can collect them after preparing your Sunday omelet or breakfast scrambled eggs =)

    2) keep them on an open container and let them air dry for a couple of days

  • 3) while the egg shells are drying, you will also collect the coffee grounds from your freshly brewed morning coffee, you can leave them to air dry in the same filter or put them in another container. They will also need a couple of days.

    4) Once both ( coffee grounds and egg shells) are dry , you will mix them together into a food processor to create an even powder.

  • 5) 4 eggs shells and 2 day worth of coffee grounds will do - you will then mix the powder with 2 pounds of soil ( I have tried with different kind and even the simplest type became super fertile thanks for the coffee/egg mixture).

  • 6) Use it in all your pots for any kind of plants ( I use it for flowers, mint, rosemary, decorative plants etc, basically anything) - you will soon see the difference.

It is easy, simple, effective and you will not have to buy any additional materials, just use what you already have at home.
